Mini Oxford erupted with cheers as four of its own welcomed the Olympic flame to Oxford.
Manager Paul Kelsey chair of Oxford City Athletics Club, brought the flame into the plant, before handing over to Nigel Roberts, also a manager.
The Olympic flame was then handed to recruitment advisor Jodie Evans, before being taken through assembly by Michael Spicer, father of the late cancer sufferer, Jake Spicer.
Former Olympian, Daley Thompson, posed for pictures, and watched as the BMW workers proudly held the torch aloft.
Mr Kelsey, of Abingdon, described the moment he took the flame as 'unbelievable'.
The torch is now making its way to South Parks, where the party will start in earnest.
