A man has been arrested over the shooting of another man and his partner, police said.

Dothan Gordon, 32, died at the scene in Ealing, west London, despite the efforts of London Ambulance Service paramedics who tried to save him.

His 28-year-old partner also suffered gunshot wounds.

She was taken to a west London hospital to be treated for a shoulder injury.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Trident detectives investigating the murder of Dothan Gordon in West Ealing have this evening arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

"The arrest took place with the assistance of Suffolk Police officers at an address in Ipswich."

A post-mortem examination confirmed Mr Gordon died from a gunshot wound.

The shooting happened at 2.50pm on Wednesday at a residential address in Glenpark Court, Felix Road.
