A FURTHER appeal has been launched to find a former Uefa production boss from Oxford who has been missing since October.

Bernard Ross, 51, is thought to have travelled from his Jericho home to the south of France on October 18 - but police have been told of an apparent sighting last week.

A possible sighting of Mr Ross in Nyon, Switzerland between 9.40pm and 9.50pm on Friday was reported to Thames Valley Police officers. He formerly worked in the town as Uefa’s head of TV production.

He is 5ft 7ins tall and is of medium build. He is a fluent French speaker and is thought to have been using a bike to travel around.

At the time of Friday's sighting, it is thought he was walking.

Chief Superintendent Christian Bunt said: "We are continuing our investigation to locate Mr Ross as we have increasing concerns for his welfare. It is believed he does not have access to the medication he requires.

"We are working closely with police in Switzerland and international authorities as part of our continuing efforts to try to locate him.

"I would like to reiterate that if anyone sees Mr Ross, they should call police immediately so that we can check that he is safe and well."

Anyone who knows anything about Mr Ross’s whereabouts or if anyone sees anyone who fits his description should call Thames Valley Police on 101 if calling from the UK or 0044 1865 841148 from outside of UK.
