  • Summertown burglary

Thieves forcibly broke into a house in Banbury Road between Saturday, March 18 and Wednesday. Two laptops and a handbag were stolen. Ref 43170083505

  •  Bike stolen from car

Thieves broke into a parked car in Annelsley road, Iffley, on Tuesday night.

One of the car windows was smashed to gain access to a carbon fibre frame bicycle that was snatched. 

  • Thieves take bikes from shed

Thieves broke into a shed in Kersington Crescent, Cowley, and stole five bikes, a power drill and an old radiator.

The robbery occurred on Wednesday between 1am and 7.45am. 

  • Burglar broke in - but failed to steal anything

A burglar snuck into a house in Bankside in Headington through an open window - but fled empty-handed after residents unexpectedly arrived home.

The failed attempt happened at about 8pm on Tuesday. 

Police said the burglar dropped would-be stolen goods after being startled by their arrival, and scarpered. 

  • Motorbike stolen

An orange motorbike was stolen from Mill Street in West Oxford on Monday night.

Police appealed for information after the KTM bike was taken, but did not say what time the incident is thought to have occurred. 

Officers urged motorbike owners to keep their machines secure and cover them up where possible.
