A 45-YEAR-OLD man from Beckley has been found guilty of a string of child sex offences including raping a girl under the age of 16.
Paul Wells, from High Street, Beckley was found guilty of eight offences of sexual activity with a child and one count of rape of a female aged 15 and under by a unanimous jury at Oxford Crown Court earlier this week.
He was also found guilty of two counts of making indecent photos of a child.
His offences involved two girls under 16 between 2011 and 2013.
Det Con Kelly Gilbert of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit said: “I am so pleased with the outcome of this trial. Finally Wells is where he belongs and the girls in this case can try to move forward with their lives.
“On behalf of Thames Valley Police and the Child Abuse Investigation unit I would also like to thank the victims for being so courageous in coming forward and also thank the Crown Prosecution Service for all their hard work in bringing this case to trial and successful prosecution.”
He will be sentenced on 18 November at the same court.
