OXFORD United fans have welcomed the news revealing the Premier League champions will come to the Kassam for a pre-season friendly.

Leicester City will come to town in July after the U's board revealed today they had secured the fixture.

And in a further boost, the Champions League side have agreed to let the hosts keep all of the gate receipts.

Claudio Ranieri's men are in demand and are also scheduled to face Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain overseas.

Taxi driver Kevin Broe, who created a rap when United made it to Wembley in April, said it was "fantastic" Leicester would play at the Kassam.

The rapper, known as DJ Kevlar added: "It's great to get the Premier League champions down here.

"It will be a great test for the team. They have released a couple of players from the squad so it will be interesting to see what happens before we play them.

"Hopefully we can keep Kemar Roofe.

"It's going to be a big game and I'm sure it will be a decent crowd there."
