Patients can compare surgeons' performance at new NHS website
PATIENTS in Oxfordshire about to go under the knife can now compare the performance of their surgeons on a new government database.
NHS England published performance data on 5,000 surgeons yesterday, detailing the mortality rates of surgical procedures performed by consultants.
There are currently 10 specialties where data is available including vascular, lung cancer, and orthopaedic surgery.
