Recycling bins discounting bid in North Oxfordshire
PEOPLE in North Oxfordshire are to be given the chance to buy additional recycling bins at a discounted price in the run-up to Christmas.
Blue recycling bins and brown bins for food and garden waste will be on sale from Cherwell District Council for £10 each, £8 less than normal.
When the scheme was run in August more than 800 bins were sold and the council said it hoped it would encourage people to recycle more over the festive period.
The sale, which will run from November 25 to December 24, will include standard size 240 litre bins or smaller 140 litre bins. All orders placed before December 12 will be delivered in time for Christmas.
