The death of a woman from the town was alcohol-related, the Oxfordshire Coroners’ Court concluded.

Kathryn Mather, 41, was found dead in her bath in her Lyneham Road home on December 23 by a friend. She had a level of alcohol in her blood high enough to kill, said Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter.

There was no evidence of drowning, he added.

The inquest heard evidence that Ms Mather had a history of excessive alcohol consumption, and that her partner of six years had committed suicide in 2012.

She had been suffered from anxiety and depression.
