Helpers needed for 'family-friendly' war film
1:50pm Friday 19th October 2012 in News
Volunteers are needed to help a team of young movie-makers create a feature-length film.
Ross Arrowsmith, 16, is urging young people from across the Bicester area to take on a host of roles, in front of and behind the camera.
Filming is expected to take place in various places in and around Bicester during the half-term break of October 29-November 2.
Ross, who set up internet radio station Spare Moment Online earlier this year, said the movie would be a family-friendly war film and he hopes to screen it next year at the Courtyard youth centre, in Launton Road.
The Oxford & Cherwell Valley College student, of Green Lane, Arncott, said: “We’ve got a fair few people involved already. For this film we need volunteer actors, extras, music makers, sound recorders, set designers, post-production editors and general production assistants.
“We also need help getting places for locations, props and costumes, and generally to raise awareness about the whole project.
“We’re hoping initially to screen it at the Courtyard – to be filmed over the half-term holidays of 2012, ready for October 2013.
“If we’re lucky, we’d also hope to get it screened at the Bicester Cinema, which should be built before the film is finished.
Anyone interested should meet at the Courtyard, tomorrow, or Monday, October 29, both at 5pm.
