So he drive passenger no isurance, no licence, and put the live of passenger in danger but only small fine. We TAXI driver say he should be banned from driving Private Hire. If he has accident then big problem for passenger for no insurance and no compensation for injury. I want council to take away licence from him because this no good for real TAXI drivers and people do not know they get into car that not TAXI. Please don't frighten people. Passengers are covered under the MIB Agreement. This form of licensing has only been going a few years and is, frankly, totally useless and exists to provide pretend employment for cohorts of inadequates in councils who are paid as clerks.

If he's not buying insurance now he's not going to buy it with repeat no insurance convictions, which will cost far more than his £200 penalty per month.

Ban him for 5 years to teach him a lesson.

Oxford City Council would, I believe, be entitled to consider - by due process, of course, including consultation of its licensing committee - whether Mr Safin Ali was a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Vehicle (aka 'minicab') licence because he has been convicted of an offence involving deception and dishonesty, and could even revoke his licence. At all events, his licence conditions probably require him to report any charges and convictions to the authority, and they will no doubt take a view on this matter, including whether he himself notified them of this outcome, or whether it came otherwise to their attention.

But I thought Oxford taxi drivers were "SO HONEST" they "DON'T NEED" CCTV or anything in their cabs.
