Young get the chance to dance at Games celebrations

Young people in Bicester are being given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in the Olympic celebrations.

OYAP Trust is looking for 30 budding performers to take part in a dance project which will form part of two countywide Olympic events: in Oxford, on July 9, and again, in Stonor Park, near Henley, on July 21. Rehearsals start during half-term and continue throughout June.

The dance is part of a Tree of Light project, which involves people of all ages from across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.

As part of the London 2012 Olympic legacy, children have been involved in projects exploring the science and art of trees.

For more information or to reserve a place, contact Liz McCaffry Payne at OYAP Trust on 01869 602560 or email admin@oyap.org.uk

Good for a once in a lifetime but a better headline would be 30 jobs for youngsters with the cost of all these events added up how many jobs could be created and not for just one day maybe im being a spoilsport but dancing in a park does not put food on the table or create a future for youngsters
