Leaders Wallingford were made to fight all the way before finally seeing off the challenge of Oxford 3rd in Division 6.

Chris Jones made 35, Will Smith (39) and Chris Jackson (36) in Oxford's 151-8, Warren Ainsworth taking 4-45.

Zak Bashir (3-46) and Oxford's leading wicket-taker John Finch (3-28) pushed Wallingford hard, but they got to 155-8 thanks in part to Tom Wigley's 38.

Oxford lost one point for bowling their overs too slowly.

Phil Brooks hit 111 and Richard Dryden 92 as Bledlow Ridge 2nd amassed 272-6 declared at Horspath 2nd.

Dick Decaires (61) ensured the home side stayed up with the required run rate in reply, but from 161-6 after 33 overs they fell to 241 all out, Geoff Tombs taking 4-14.

Stanton St John Willows suffered another bad day, losing by eight wickets at Bledlow Village 2nd and being docked five points for failing to provide an umpire.

Willows were bowled out for 146, in which Will Sharpey hit 45 and Nev Linnell took 4-21.

Trac Walker then smashed 110 not out as Bledlow rushed to 149-2 in 22 overs.

Nigel Felicien took 6-74 and Ian McStay 4-90 for Thame Town 2nd, but they could not stop Long Marston 2nd racking up 235 before being bowled out.

Mike Lyons hit 70 and Robin Gaymer 57 for Marston, and then Jon Horn took 5-38 to have the visitors in trouble.

But Steve Beard (60), Dom Medcalf (47) and some resistance from the tail meant Thame hung on at 195-9.

James Bell took 5-61 as Wolverton Town 2nd easily beat ten-man Bourton Vale 2nd by nine wickets.

Vale were bowled out for 151, then Town cruised to 159-1, with Ashley Dawson 61 not out and Sean Potter 57 not out when victory was achieved.
