A VIDEO has revealed the full extent of the traveller occupation at yet another Oxfordshire park and ride.

The clip, shot by a commuter who asked to remain anonymous, shows the dozens of caravans parked all around the Bicester car park on Vendee Drive.

Another short video shows what appear to be ponies belonging to the travellers wandering around on the nearby roadside unrestrained.

The video was shot from a Stagecoach S5 bus service before the company decided to cancel all stops at the park and ride until further notice.

Stagecoach said the closest alternative stops are just outside of the site on the main road; Chesterton Turn North for buses towards Bicester and Chesterton Turn South for Oxford.

The travellers, believed to be the same group who have been taking over car parks across the county for months, moved into Bicester on Thursday after vacating Water Eaton Park and Ride in Oxford.

Oxfordshire County Council, which owns and operates the Bicester park and ride, has said: "We are currently working towards returning the park and ride site to normal operation.

"This may involve using powers available to us or the Travellers moving on of their own accord very soon.”

Other commuters told the Oxford Mail they saw police at the site yesterday but nothing seemed to be achieved.
