A DANCE troupe from Bicester will wow a 60,000-strong crowd when they perform at the Saracens vs Harlequins Premiership rugby match.

The pupils from Stagecoach Performing Arts Bicester will take to the stage at the London Stadium in Stratford for the pre-match and half-time festivities.

They will be joined by other dancers from Stagecoach schools across the country and the expected capacity crowd will dwarf all previous shows for the troupe.

It will mark the 30th anniversary of the dance school, which hosts hundreds of extra curricular performing art schools across the country.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Bicester principal, Emma Clarke, said: "Performing in front of such a large crowd will be an incredible experience for the students and it is exciting to be part of the 30th anniversary year celebrations.

"This is an amazing opportunity for the students in their formative years.

"It will teach them how to work with others and will help them build their confidence and performing abilities, cultivating a real ‘Creative Courage for Life’.

"I am sure it will create some wonderful memories too."

The Bicester dancers will strut their stuff on stage as part of the entertainment at the game on Saturday.

Saracens are narrowly trailing the Exeter Chiefs at the top of the table in the Premiership standings and will be looking to cement their place in the league’s top four from 3pm.

Previously the dance school has only ever performed to crowds up to 26,000 people as they celebrated previous milestones by joining Disneyland Paris parades, supported by Robbie Williams on stage at the O2 Arena in London.

They also performed Cats at the Arena Birmingham to mark the 25th anniversary of Stagecoach Performing Arts School in 2013.

For this weekend's performance the headline act will be Britain's Got Talent winner Tokio Myers.

Following the stand-out show there is a calendar of events planned to mark the three decades of teaching youngsters to dance and perform in front of mighty crowds.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Bicester has a host of activities planned including a performance of Beauty and the Beast in July and another performance at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London in November.
