AS THE saying goes ‘proud as a peacock’ and there is no wonder why when you’re as attractive as this one.
This peacock was strutting it’s stuff around Harcourt Arboretum to the delight of its visitors and even put on a proud display of its feathers.
There are about eight or nine peacocks that call the arboretum, in Nuneham Courtenay, and nearby their home and its no wonder why now spring has sprung and there’s lots to see.
Harcourt Arboretum arborist Guy Horwood said: “The peacocks are wild animals, so not really pets, and have been on the estate for about 150 years. They obviously bring in visitors but we just leave them to do their own thing. They just call this place their home.”
