BANBURY

Michael Hullah, 35, of Broad Street, Banbury, admitted assaulting Dominic Hicks-Churchill, occasioning him actual bodily harm, at Moo Moo, in High Street, Banbury, on November 19 last year. Also admitted assaulting Aiden Hazelwood by beating him in the same place on the same date. Handed a community order, with a four-week electronic curfew requirement and a 30-day programme requirement. Ordered to pay £400 compensation and £85 costs.

Mark Shaw, 28, of Azalea Avenue, Kidlington, admitted fraudulently using a registration in Kidlington in September 26 last year. Also admitted driving without third party insurance on the same date. Fined £900 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Kenneth Smith, 52, of Bradford Road, Manchester, admitted having an article for use in the course of, or in connection with, theft, which was a foil line bag, in Bicester on August 28 last year. Also admitted failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Banbury Police Station on October 26 last year. Handed an 18-month conditional discharge and fined £70. Ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

George Geoghegan, 29, of Miller Road, Banbury, admitted possessing a Stanley knife in Cromwell Road, Banbury, on December 9 last year. Also admitted stealing £18-worth of meat from Co-op in Banbury on December 19 last year. Also admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the community requirements of a suspended sentence by not attending unpaid work sessions on December 20 and December 29 last year. Also admitted stealing £10-worth of meat from Tesco in Banbury on January 14. Also admitted stealing wine from Tesco in Banbury on January 19. Also admitted stealing £130-worth of clothing from H&M in Banbury on February 8. Also admitted causing racially aggravated intentional harassment or alarm or distress to Mohammed Smith at Castle Quay, Banbury, on February 8. Also admitted using threatening or abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Orion Phillips with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence at Castle Quay, Banbury, on February 8. Jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Shana McKenzie, 25, of Milton Street, Banbury, admitted entering a train to travel without having a valid ticket while en route to Marylebone Station on March 16 last year. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £29.20 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £70 costs.

Costal Popescu, 24, of Oxford Road, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Neithrop Avenue, Banbury, on January 27. Had 75 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving without third party insurance. Fined £341 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Handed a 20-month driving ban.

OXFORD

Aakif Ahmed, 25, of Lewell Avenue, Oxford, admitted theft while being an employee at Headington Filling Station, London Road, Headington, Oxford, on or between September 17 2016 and November 11 2016. Ahmed stole £6,570 belonging to Waitrose. Sentenced to prison for four months suspended for 12 months. Ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months. Ordered to pay compensation of £5,000, a victim surcharge of £115 and costs of £100.

Wesley Craig McArthur Gilbert, 36, of Owens Way, Temple Cowley, Oxford, admitted assaulting Dhirendra Kumar Raj by beating him at Lidl Supermarket in Watlington Road, Cowley on November 2 2016. Also admitted assaulting Emeka Collins by beating him on the same date at the same location. Sentenced to six weeks in prison concurrent for both offences. Ordered to pay £150 in compensation and costs of £200.

Joshua Mark Quinn, 21, of Pinnocks Way, Botley, Oxford, admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class B, cannabis/ cannabis resin, on October 18 2016, in Oxford. Fined £50. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30. Cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed by Thames Valley Police.

Christopher Barnes of Bonar Road, Oxford, was convicted in his absence of, on or about May 23 2016 in Oxford, being an individual to whom a community protection notice had been issued, and failing to comply with the notice. Fined £220. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge £30 and costs of £250.

Michael Joseph Gallagher, 36, of Rippington Drive, Marston, Oxford, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates' Court on April 13 2016, by failing without reasonable excuse to attend the rehabilitation activity requirement on November 15 2016 and December 29 2016. Order to continue. Fined £20.

Kirsty Hazell, of Cherwell Road, Berinsfield, was convicted in her absence of dropping a cigarette butt and left it in Market Place, Abingdon on July 13 2016. Fined £120. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £100.

Kayleigh Mary Watson, 30, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment in that she failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a supervision order on September 29, October 20 and December 15 2016. Fined £25.

Roy Woodrow Willis, 34, of Ivy Close, Didcot, admitted depositing controlled waste in or on land, namely Kiln Lane, Drayton, without the authority of a current environmental permit on August 22 2016. Also admitted to not being a registered carrier of controlled waste, in the course of his business or otherwise with a view to profit, transported controlled waste on the same date. Fined £732. Ordered to pay £202 in compensation, a victim surcharge of £73 and costs of £500.
