AMBULANCE and fire crews were called to the M40 after a car veered off the road and crashed into trees.
Emergency services pulled onto the hard shoulder to deal with the crash just before 9am, and traffic built due to drivers slowing to see what had happened.
The crash took place on the northbound carriageway near the turn-off for Cherwell Valley Services at junction 10.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said paramedics enlisted help from firefighters due to 'difficulties getting patients out of the vehicle, as they were in trees'.
The driver was taken to Horton General Hospital with neck pain and the second patient was discharged at the scene.
