TRAPEZE acts, acrobatics and fun and frolics with a clown will make up a spectacular show for families as the circus rolls into Bicester.

Ginnetts Circus "with the family" will pitch up in town to put on a show of impressive aerial displays and gymnastics with a dash of comedy to entertain the masses.

The family circus brings together artists from all around the world – such as Hungary, Argentina and France – for the four days of shows.

David Konyat the clown will be donning his yellow suit and many musical instruments to get a laugh out of the Bicester crowd.

He said: "I have a mission in life to make people laugh.

"I couldn't tell you what I will be doing as every audience is different, so it is about assessing how to make the audience relax and make them laugh.

"I do an act with my wife Annamaria Konyat, who is the ring mistress and my nemesis.

"A him and her act in which I basically want to play music and she wont let me."

"There is plenty to make the audience comfortable and to enjoy themselves and we have a beautiful girl doing a trapeze act and a another girl who does a pole act and the strength of them is unbelievable."

Other acts in the circus, which has been touring since the early 1800s, include the human slinky and naught dog Vader.

The first show will be today at Bicester Rugby Club fields from 6.30pm, at 4.30pm and 7pm on Thursday, 6.30pm Friday, 2pm and 5pm Saturday and 2pm Sunday.

Circus director Patrick Austin said: "We are hoping to encourage families to come out and spend to quality time together and enjoy some live entertainment."
