VILLAGERS spent an evening populating their surroundings with knitted children’s characters and creatures ahead of a craft fair tomorrow.
A small group have worked tirelessly since July to create the woolly wonders that are dotted around Tackley, near Woodstock.
From cushions on benches and pom-poms on an oak tree to a witch who has crashed from trying to text while, the village green has been decorated from top to bottom.
Craft club founder Julie Farren said: “We had such a positive response last year we thought we would involve more people.”
In 2014 the craft fair raised just under £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support and the club hopes to beat that this time.
The craft fair will be held in Tackley village hall from 10am to 4pm tomorrow.
