A 12-year-old boy was tied up by the drawstrings of his PE kit bag and punched in the stomach in Didcot.

The attempted robbery happened when the boy was walking along Queensway between the mini roundabout, which leads to Cockcroft School, at about 3.20pm on Wednesday.

Thames Valley Police said three older boys approached the victim from behind and spun him round.

They then tied the victim up using the drawstrings on his PE kit bag.

The victim was uninjured but was left shaken and upset. No property was stolen.

The first teenager is about 5ft 7ins, large build, and wore black joggers and red trainers.

The second is about 5ft 5ins, slim, and wore a black mask over his face and grey trousers.
