YOUNGSTERS went mad for Minions this half-term making their own movie models.
The ‘Minion Madness’ two-day puppetry project was put on by the OYAP Trust, which gives children across the county the chance to learn new creativity skills.
Helped by a professional artist, children fashioned their own Minions – characters from the Despicable Me film – from yellow sponges and dressed them as they liked in the session at The Studio in Crown Walk, Bicester.
They then could make their Minions a musical instrument, ready for a music video they would make at the end of the sessions.
Seven-year-old Michael Olds said: “I made my Minion Rocker from a sponge. It has really been fun making background for a music video, which will include filming our Minions.”
The band was recorded for the video before a performance for family and friends.
Projects assistant Carmen Hoepper said: “Minion madness was a great success.”
