A 27-year-old man was stabbed in the leg in an alleyway on Friday night in Bicester.

The man was stabbed near The Angel Inn, Sheep Street, at 11.50pm.

The victim was tended to by an ambulance crew and a doctor.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service set: “We treated one man for a stab wound injury in his groin area.

“No one was taken to hospital.”

Police are appealing for witnesses and information on the incident.

Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said: “There have been no arrests made in connection with the stabbing in Bicester.

“We do not know at this stage what the man was stabbed with, but the wounds sustained indicated that he was stabbed."

Police have been told that earlier last night in the same area there had been an argument between a couple of a man over money, Mrs Billen said.

Anyone with any information can call police on 101.
