DRAMA enthusiasts in Bicester are preparing for the Bicester Drama Society’s autumn play.

The group of amateur actors are putting on Alan Ayckbourn’s 1971 play How The Other Half Loves at the end of the month.

Focusing on two couples from different walks of life, the comedy is set during two dinner parties.

Maria Hunter, 51, plays adulterous wife Fiona Foster. The Marks & Spencer shop assistant and mum-of-two said: “It’s a farce and it’s very funny.”

The Bicester resident has been a member of the society since 2008. She said: “We’ve always had a nice group of people. It’s informal and friendly, whether you want to act or help behind the scenes you’re welcome.”

  • How The Other Half Loves will be performed from Thursday, October 30, to Saturday, November 1, at the Bicester Methodist Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8, or £6 for concessions, for sale at Cole’s Bookstore in Crown Walk.
