Trains running through Oxford to London Paddington were delayed tonight.
Passengers were being held up by up to 60 minutes, according to Network Rail.
The 7.31pm train from Oxford was still held at Reading at 8.50pm.
By 9.30pm, slow trains were running to Reading, but fast trains were cancelled.
The travel disruption is due to a person being hit by a train at Ealing Broadway at 7.59pm.
Services affected on the route include First Great Western, Heathrow Connect, and Heathrow Express.
First Great Western passengers may use:
- CrossCountry, Chiltern Railways, South West Trains, on any reasonable route
- London Underground between Greenford and London Paddington as well as London Paddington and London Marylebone/London Waterloo.
- London buses between Ealing Broadway and West Drayton
Passengers are advised to check their journey plans, and can keep up with developments, via National Rail Enquiries' Journey Planner.
