THE Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Oxford West and Abingdon has supported a motion to end indefinite detention at Campsfield House, near Kidlington.

Layla Moran, pictured, addressed her party’s spring conference in York on Saturday, saying that detaining immigrants with no definite release date is inhumane. Ms Moran said: “Ending indefinite detention for immigration purposes is a bold and necessary move.

“In doing so we bring this country into line with the majority of other Western democracies.”

The immigration detention centre has been at the centre of controversy since it opened 20 years ago.

I don't think we should worry about how she voted as we all know the LibDems say one thing before they get some power then the exact opposite when they have the power. I suppose they are just looking for some publicity for their candidate and we will have to put up with this and other stories like it until the elections next year.
