Spending cuts of £64m in county council services are due to be approved at a full meeting of the organisation tomorrow.

Oxfordshire County Council is expected to formally adopt plans to save the money over the next four years at its meeting in Oxford tomorrow.

The council is faced with cutting back on transport and adult social care spending, and withdrawing funding for homelessness shelters.

Last month, members of the council’s cabinet gave their backing to the cuts, saying that they had to make “difficult choices” as a result of reductions in funding from the Government.

The council meeting at County Hall, in New Road, Oxford, starts at 10am.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.
