ANIMAL sanctuary owner Carol Spencer is desperate to find new homes for dozens of white fluffy guinea pigs.
Late last year she took in a total of 66, but later found 20 were pregnant and ended up with 106.
The mother-of-one, who runs Tiny Paws from her home in Springfield Drive, Caversfield, near Bicester, has found homes for some, but more are needed.
Mrs Spencer, 45, said: “We are struggling to find people to take them on because 99 per cent of the population hate them. They have pink eyes and they think they look evil. But they are not, they are so soft and gentle.”
Volunteer Laura O’Malley, 29, of Oxford, who has helped at the sanctuary for a year, said: “They are cute, lovable and absolutely deserve a loving home.”
