Oxfordshire County Council sent its gritters out last night to stop the roads from freezing over because of flood water.
The council routinely covers more than 1,200 miles of road with its gritters and it is responsible for 43 per cent of the roads in Oxfordshire.
It has urged drivers to take care while driving this morning.
