YOUNG people in Bicester are being urged to join the Scouts and have some fun.

A new group is set to open its doors in April, as part of 3rd Bicester (Glory Farm) Scout Group.

Group leader Elbert Loubser said he is planning activities including rifle shooting, archery, abseiling, raft building, caving and arts and crafts.

Mr Loubser said: “By getting each Scout to have an input to the activities he or she wants to try, we can ensure that we cater for each individual.

“I’m really excited because it allows me and all the other volunteers in the group the opportunity to make a positive impact.”

The group for 10- to 14-year-olds, will meet on Thursdays, from April 24, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall in Hart Place.
