The county has been warned to brace itself for more flooding as fresh rainfall causes river levels to rise.

The Environment Agency had yesterday issued six flood alerts for Oxfordshire, although no damage to property is expected.

Heavy rain is forecast for tonight. It is expected to be drier tomorrow but more heavy rain is predicted for Friday.

The flood alerts include areas around the River Cherwell, Ock, Evenlode, Glyme and Thames.
