Careless motorist caused fatal crash

Bicester Advertiser: . .

A motorist has been found guilty of causing the death of a prison worker by careless driving.

Daniel Fallaw, of Peregrine Way, Bicester, went on trial at Oxford Crown Court after his silver Ford Escort collided with 48-year-old cyclist David Parris in Bicester on December 4, 2012.

The 36-year-old denied the offence but a jury yesterday took just one hour and 55 minutes to find him guilty.

He was released on bail and will be sentenced on February 13. See tomorrow’s Oxford Mail for a full report.

Cue the idiotic barrage of "he should be locked up forever and fed on bread, stale cheese and water" comments.

That man also has a family and never set out to hurt anyone, the justice system isn't always right! The papers are very one sided! Nearly Every person that drives will have had or seen a near miss maybe people shouldn't be so judgementle before putting comments.

Yet another tragic death that was easily avoidable if the driver had been bothered to give even the slightest thought to others. Sadly we see more and more inconsiderate driving around Bicester - often by people who are desperate to get to Bicester Village.

I just hope that at least a few people improve their driving style as a result of this case. But I doubt it.
