BICESTER children’s author Peter Kavanagh has just published his second book.
Called The Little Green Dragon, the book is the second in his Art Myatt series.
The story is set in a fictional Oxfordshire village called Brillion where young Art is asked to look after a lost dragon.
But when the dragon wants to explore, adventure is not far behind.
Grandfather-of-three Mr Kavanagh, 55, of Pipits Croft, Bicester, wrote the book in just four months.
He also took the big step to get the books printed this time — his first, Art Myatt and The Jewel of the Sun was published in the spring, and was only available for download.
The manager at Bicester Defence Storage and Distribution Centre said: “People around me said maybe your target audience would prefer a paperback.
“I’m obviously really pleased and I did my first signing.”
A colleague at work bought copies for her daughter.
Mr Kavanagh added: “That’s everything to me — it really pleases me that little girls or boys read my books.”
