CHRISTMAS trees are on display again at a 900-year-old church.

St Olave’s in Fritwell has been filled with more than 20 trees festooned in decorations to raise money for church repairs.

Organiser Pamela Hands said it was the second time the popular show had been staged and that this year’s had been particularly well supported.

She explained: “What is really nice is more than half the trees are sponsored by families rather than all local businesses like last year.”

So far villagers have raised more than £7,000 over the two events and money will be funding a new church drainage system in the new year.
