A spookily good time at the palace for Halloween
10:30am Monday 28th October 2013 in News
CHILDREN have been getting into the spooky spirit of Halloween by making their own masks.
Blenheim Palace is hosting a series of events this week for half term. Yesterday children carved pumpkins in the Pleasure Gardens Deli.
Three-year-old Sebby Cobner-Vale painted a colourful mask, as did his twin sister Immy and older sister Seren, six.
Their father, Patric Vale , of Larkhill Road, Abingdon, said: “We go to Blenheim quite a lot and thought we would take the children along for the Halloween events.
“It was really good. Sebby painted his own pumpkin face mask and he loved it. He was using lots of different colours, but as these things go, it did kind of end up a little brown.
“But he did have a great time. All three will wear their masks on Halloween when they go out trick or treating.”

Visitors to the historic house and gardens can follow a trail of creepy riddles and clues in the Pleasure Gardens maze, make some Halloween-themed crafts or take a spine-tingling tour of the State Rooms.
