Conservative Sir Tony asked the Prime Minister when he expected the United Nations to agree to a resolution to gain “unfettered humanitarian access” to the country and if there could be “any justifiable” reason for any country opposing this.
Mr Cameron, who lost a vote on possible military action last month, said on Monday: “I would very much hope that countries would not oppose such a motion.”
A UN security council resolution could be needed if Syria refused to give access, he said.
