The pilot and passengers of a light aircraft had a lucky escape after it suffered engine failure near Abingdon.
The pilot made an emergency landing of the small Cessna in a field adjacent to Hanney Road between Southmoor and Charney Bassett on Sunday at about 6.30pm.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service incident commander Dean Hazell, from Abingdon fire station, said: “The aircraft landed in the field upright without any obvious damage.”
