Village school is out of special measures

A PRIMARY school has been taken out of special measures after winning praise from inspectors.

Middle Barton School was given an ‘inadequate’ rating in a November 2011 Ofsted inspection.

But the inspectorate has now rated the Church Road school as good.

It said pupils had progressed “at a rapid pace” and described achievement as good and sometimes outstanding in all year groups.

It said rigorous classroom checks and “well-focused training opportunities have led to good teaching throughout the school”.
