THIEVES broke into and ransacked a charity building which serves children from across Oxfordshire.
The raiders used heavy objects to smash four external doors and six internal doors at Thomley Activity Centre, a recreational centre for disabled children, in Worminghall.
They also broke into filing cabinets, causing several thousands of pounds of damage. An old laptop, a digital camera and around £50 in petty cash was snatched.
Staff discovered the break-in early on Saturday morning.
Director Claire Acworth, from Iffley, Oxford, could not understand why anybody could be so callous.
Miss Acworth, 42, said: “All of us were just shocked that anybody could be so heartless to break into a children’s charity.”
