Drink-driving arrests hit 21

Last night 21 people had been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in the county so far this month.

The arrests were part of a Thames Valley Police’s December anti-drink- and drug-driving campaign.

Across the Thames Valley, there were 109 arrests with 53 people charged, 38 released on bail, and 18 released without charge.

Only just over one a day, it looks like drivers have got the message, don't drink and drive. Although I wonder what the figures would be like of they pulled over cyclists who were unfit to ride home after a few too many beers.

Generally, cyclists who have drunk to much, tend to fall over, so its pretty self limiting...

Maybe a better idea would be to start with stopping cyclists who havent got any lights yet riding in the dark first.
