Passengers injured in M40 smash

Two people were cut from a car on the M40 last night after their vehicle collided with a lorry.

The accident, which blocked two lanes of the motorway, happened at about 10.35pm between junction 11 at Banbury and junction 12, Gaydon.

The car's passengers were taken to hospital but their injuries were not said to be life-threatening.
