Newsquest Media Group is the UK's second largest regional newspaper publisher with more than 300 titles, including 17 dailies. Its newspapers have a weekly readership of 13.5 million and a weekly circulation of 10.1 million.

The company employs 9,000 people across the UK and its head office is in Weybridge, Surrey.

Newsquest was acquired by US-based Gannett in July 1999. Gannett is an international news and information company which publishes 91 daily newspapers in the USA, including USA Today.

Newsquest Oxfordshire is the major media player in Oxfordshire. It publishes the daily Oxford Mail and weekly paid-for titles The Oxford Times, the Herald Series, Witney Gazette and Bicester Advertiser, and free titles the Banbury Cake and Oxford Star.
