FIFTY volunteers from across the Oxfordshire business scene teamed up for a very special challenge.
Backed by the sound of Abingdon Rock Choir, the group descended as a flash mob on Oxford’s Westgate Centre last week to stage the mass ‘Plankathon.’
The event was the culmination of two weeks of training as part of the High Sheriff’s Corporate Challenge organised by the new High Sheriff of Oxford, Richard Venables. The aim was to hold a ‘plank’ exercise position for five minutes while the choir belted out Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. Sponsored by 22 companies, proceeds will go to a range of Oxfordshire health charities.
